State Highway 33 near East end of OBLONG, IL Hwy 33

Use caution when traveling eastbound on State Hwy 33 through Oblong, Illinois. Eastbound speed limit will quickly change from 55 to 35 at the edge of town, by the School (this is not the area heavily watched). As you proceed into OBLONG, the speed is reduced to 30–it is easilly seen. You eventually come to a STOP Sign. Once you go past the STOP sign you will see a 40 MPH Speed limit sign posted just 100 yards or so out of the Town’s Business district (right at the town’s edge). If you begin to accelerate when you see the 40 MPH speed limit sign, you will be trapped by an Officer parked on the left (North) side of the road (he is facing the Eastbound traffic). I am fairly confident that the Officer is an Uncertified Radar Gun Operator, because a Radar Gun will not be accurate when other close moving /oppisite direction traffic is present and the reading is taken in a narrow corridor of buildings, but this is what they are doing. I am going to check on the Type of Radar Gun used and the last calabration certificate that was issued and the Certification of the Officer for use of this particular Radar unit and to see if the FederalCommunications Commission has issued a license for the Radar Gun, for the City of OBLONG and post this info later, if they will provide it–(law says they must produce such info upon request).
