108th Avenue near 140th Street

Orland Park, IllinoisNov 27, 20070 Comments

On 108th Ave between 143rd St and 135th St west of Crystal Tree, police use radar to catch people speeding since they recently lowered the speed limit to 35 mph due to complaints from the wealthy taxpayers to the west. This used to be a great street to take the kids for a thrill ride because of the big hill going south bound. Not Anymore!

151st Street near Huntington Court

Orland Park, IllinoisNov 10, 20070 Comments

Cop sits at the end of 151st and waits for people to go over the "20 mph" (ridiculous) speed limit. He will then ask for "cash" if your driver’s license is out of state. This may actually be one for the attorney general or local anti-corruption unit instead of this site.

Will Cook Road near 167th Street

Orland Park, IllinoisNov 09, 20070 Comments

On Will Cook Road between 179th Street and 159th Street the speed limit is 30 mph and goes up to 35 mph by 167th Street. The speed limit does not make sense because it is mostly farm area and there is very little residential. The Police hide in many places at all times of day. After you pass the light at 167th Street you might as well ride your brake because you’re riding on an incline and the police squad is waiting. The good news it that the speed limit does go 45 mph after 159th where there are homes.

Wolf Road near 138th Street

Wolf Road is fairly open there with few homes around . . . Police park in the church parking lot on the east side of Wolf Road (at approx. 138th Street) and point their radar . . .

Wheeler Drive near Harlem Ave and LaGrange Road

Orland Park, IllinoisJul 22, 20070 Comments

This road is especially monitored toward the end of the month. It is the only continuous road through the neighborhood that connects the two main thoroughfares.
