Police will sit directly across from entrance to forest preserve walking path. It’s not only a 35 mph zone along the entire way, but there is a pedestrian crossing as well. If you’re speed or dont stop for the people in the crosswalk, it’s ticket time. Police will sit with either a squad but when they really want to be covert they have an unmarked white SUV as well as a motorcycle that pulls out like a jackrabbit only it doesnt have a white cotton tail, only red lights, siren, and ticket book. Beware.

Officer sits in the parking lot of Frank’s on south side of 159th towards the rear corner. He is well-shielded until you’re on top of him. Speed limit is 35mph but traffic moves anywhere from 40-50. Orland Park officers aren’t much fun to deal with. Keep an eye out around there!

The area of Lagrange/Rt. 45 from 135th to 163rd is highly enforced. It has a speed limit of between 35 and 45mph through this stretch. Common hiding areas are:
Shell and Gas city @131st St.
Access road across from Sandburg H.S.
Park access road slightly south of 135th
*Parking lots between 135th and 143rd – very popular because speed limit changes*
Shell station parking lot at 145th
Darvin parking lot around 154th – unlit very dark area
Petey’s II parking lot at 160th – hidden behind restaurant

Take it easy traveling these areas – you don’t explain yourself out of tickets in Orland very often. They will nail you for driving flashy or loud cars.
