Palatine, Illinois Speed Traps
Cops hide on the side street, and they have a pretty good view. Today I was trying to pass a van who was going under the speed limit…I passed the van, and went back into the lane….and got a ticket. I was nowhere near the cop when I passed the van, so his radar must be pretty good.
Officer sits on one of the two roads of the apartment complex on Northwest Hwy located between the Buhler YMCA and Dundee..they can check traffic from both directions…speed limit is 45 and because it is such a long stretch it easy to exceed the limit..they like this place as they are there at least twice a week
He is there more to pull people over who don’t stop at the stop sign. It’s a 3 way stop and he sits in the apartment complex driveway. Very frustrating when he blocks the one way exit there!!!! Best chance is just stop there and DO NOT California Roll it!
2 State Troopers almost every weekday morning, waiting for late students to zip by.Most drivers don’t slow down thinking that state troopers don’t radar in residential areas, but that is what their doing.I watch them pull kids over steadily for 2 hours before leaving! watch out!
Northbound Route 53, there are two exits in a row at Northwest Highway. You can’t see much past the exits because the Highway crests right there too. Most drivers are distracted by cars exiting, and many of them switch lanes and accelerate to pass.
