Devon Avenue near Canfield/Talcott Avenue

Park Ridge, IllinoisMar 17, 20070 Comments

Inbetween Talcott and Canfield the speed limit is 30 mph and is a high volume speed trap when they hit it. It’s near impossible not to be going 10 – 15 mph at the least and Park Ridge guys will give you a ticket for just 5 over. They’ll get you going both ways but have seen mostly eastbound traffic pulled over.

Dee Road near High School

Police are running Ka band radar in front of the high school. The last time my detector went off, there was an SUV parked in front of the school. I got a solid 9, so it was definitely police radar. They also park in the lot south of the school and shoot radar. As of 11-25-06 I’ve been getting a lot of hits in Park Ridge in general, so watch your speed.

As you travel north out of the forest preserve on Dee Road, just past Devon, and before Talcott, you pass Maine South High School on your right (East). As people travel out of the forest preserve where the speed limit is 45, it drops to 35 and Park Ridge Police will often sit in the circle drive or parking lot of the high school, set pretty far away from the road.
