State Highway State Route 50 near Car Dealerships, North and South Ends of Town
When you enter the town of Peotone from the north or south along Route 50 there are car dealerships. The speed limit is clearly marked as 40mph. That does not mean 41! Local police, county sheriffs AND state police all patrol this one mile stretch of road. It is the highest intensity enforcement of a speed limit I have ever seen. Let the driver beware.

Sits in the parking lot of the Peotone Country Market. Vehicles are equipped with both front and rear radars. Most of this town is a radar trap.
State Route 50 near Beecher Blacktop Street
As you are traveling south on Route 50 coming into Peotone there is an old F/S station on the right( the first building you come to) the police sit just on the south side of this building so you can’t see them until it’s too late. My wife recived a ticket at this location and she is a Deputy Sheriff, the patrolman didn’t want to hear it!

they sit on the side of garage. either north or south bound has a hard time seeing. they will get you for a few miles over or if they fell you were going to fast.
