Central Road near Old Wilke Road

Rolling Meadows, IllinoisMar 28, 20061 Comments

This is a very bad place to speed when the high school is at lunch! Between the hours of 10am and 12pm! A cop is always on a side street on this road waiting to pull over kids! He sits in a driveway and hides! The speed limit is 25. Top speed you can go is 30! Be very careful and watch your speed!

Golf Road near Ring Road

Rolling Meadows, IllinoisDec 22, 20050 Comments

This cop is always sitting there and stopped me the other night and gave me a ticket. He sits right in the middle of Golf Rd. facing Eastbound traffic right by Rt. 53. I got a ticket and ended up paying $75.00 for doing 65mph in the 45mph zone. You can’t see him until it is too late because there are no street lights where he sits. The cop that stopped me was young and real cute. I tried flirting my way out of it, but it dindn’t work at all. Better luck to other speeders.

Silentbrook Lane near Quentin Road

Rolling Meadows, IllinoisApr 21, 20050 Comments

THIS ONE IS REALL BAD! This is a subdivision just south of Euclid Avenue, barely across the Palatine-Rolling Meadows border. If you enter this subdivision, DO NOT SPEED AT ALL. I grew up in this area and when I was in high school I can think of at least a dozen times when my friends got hit here. The resdients of this area must have complained about speeders a lot because they will call the police on speeding motorists and yell at people to slow down. It’s really easy to rack up a ticket here because Quentin is 35.

State Highway 53 North near Euclid Avenue

Rolling Meadows, IllinoisNov 15, 20040 Comments

Traveling north on 53 just as you pass under Euclid Ave, there is spot on the right hand side that the police sometimes sit at. The speed limit is 55 (like every where in the Chicago land area) but the prevailing speed is usually 70-75. They usually use KA band, but I have had Lidar detected before as well. I’m not sure how fast you have to go to get pulled over, but you should watch for that section.

Oriole Lane near Dove Lane

Rolling Meadows, IllinoisAug 30, 20040 Comments

On Cambell street at Dove Lane or Oriole Lane. Cops are usually at either place. On Oriole, they hide behind shrubs. You can’t see them if westbound. They don’t sit in either place very long before some hapless victim comes by. Speed limit is 25MPH.
