Spring Grove, Illinois Speed Traps

Cops sit and wait in the driveway of Horse Fair Park – the speed limit drops from 45 to 30 going into town. Also you can’t see them if you are headed north so don’t speed up early.

All along 173 from Wilmot Road to Route 12 – Spring Grove’s finest have now been joined by IL State Troopers. While it’s always been a speed trap, I saw 4 cars pulled over, in both directions, on Monday late afternoon, 3 of them by troopers. Hiding at just about all crossroads, but specifically Winn Road and the entrance to the subdivision N of 173, just before Lake View Road.

park in the funeral parlor parking lot and wait. the sad part is spring grove claims no jurisdiction on this road if called for an accident or illegal parking….

will enforce school speed limit even when no children are present.
