Steger, Illinois Speed Traps

Driving at posted speed limit. Came to the top of a hill & was immediately within view of a speed camera mounted to a 20 mph school speed zone sign with flashing yellow lights. None of which can be seen by any west bound driver until over the hill. It is near Eastview Elementary School on E 34th street at the Will / Cook County border. Trap camera on right side of street. School Campus on left side of street. Got nailed at 10:23 am, 3-19-19. (this morning). Just past State Street & E 34th street.

Have seen them down low on the shoulder, in the median, and also on the east side of the road just north of Kohl’s near a billboard sign. These are Steger police cars on the expressway – dark blue.

Squads like to pull up close to the building in the loading dock section. Northbound, curve in road hides from view until right upon them. Southbound, don’t see them until you look in your rearview mirror.
