They hide by the White Deer Run Entrance on the N.E. corner of Allanson and Route 45 facing oncoming traffic at night. They lie about their speed readings by at least 5 miles per hour. Do not answer their question ” Do you know how fast you were going?’ Say ” I was going the posted limit.” If you say anything over the limit, you just admitted to being guilty. Being nice and respectful does not work, they are locked in on their quotas… They use Vascar with measuring. for this to be accurate they need at least 1,500 feet. They push their buttons awful late which reduces your time in their zone which in turn leads to a higher speed. They also need at least 1500 feet of a straight shot at you to be accurate. This particular spot… they do not have the distance required to be accurate which means you can argue it’s accuracy. Things I found out after the fact.

Just past Deerpath over the railroad tracks in the marathon gas station, facing west just behind the air pump .

If you are traveling north or south bound on Rt. 83, north of Westmoreland Dr. Squads, sometimes multiple are radaring at the next northbound side street.

If you are going south on Lake View Parkway towards Rt. 60, right after Streamwood Ln there is a church that cops love to sit in. There is a curve right before that so it is hard to spot them in time. They either sit on the other side of the trees or right next to the chruch sign. The speed limit is 30 and it is very easy to be going over that. They will definitely get you if you are going 40+.

As you travel north of Route 45 on the newer section of Buffalo Grove Road, radar will catch you as you come over the hill into the sports complex area. Speed limit is 35 and drops to 30 mph.
