Wauconda, Illinois Speed Traps
Main Street near Garland Road
Officer will occasionally be parked behind the Wauconda Park District sign (and bushes) at the entrance to Cook park on Mian St. south of Garland Rd. This will be across from the High School. Be especially careful during school start and end times (7:30am and 3:00pm) as they are watching for people doing over 20mph, and depending on direction of travel the squad car may be particularly hard to see behind the sign.
Bonner Road near Main Street
Nice country road, and they will get you every time. Sometimes for as little as 5 mph over the limit.
Northbound Route 12 at 176
Usually watching traffic going northbound will sit on the exit ramp from 176 onto Northbound Rte 12. Speed limit is 55, locals usually travel roads at approximately 65 to 70, but as of late more and more stops have been seen in that area.
Darell rd/ burnette
The cop sits below the hill near burnette rd. You won’t see him until you crest the hill and by that time your screwed.
Bonner Road
The speed goes from 40 to 30 and the cops sit like 100 feet past the speed limit change and pull you over. The road is in no way a 40 mph road deffinately not a 30 be carful they will nail you and there unforgiving.
