Willowbrook, Illinois Speed Traps

When you are on 55th street and take the ramp to go southbound on Route 83 (kingery Highway), the speed limit is maybe 25-30 for the ramp, but when you actually get on 83 the speed limit is 55. Police sit on the ramp, with their cars facing forward, with their door cracked open (!) as they point a radar gun backwards to catch you speeding up to be able to merge. Because of the angle they are at, you dont see them as you follow the curve of the ramp until it is too late. they have caught me twice and each time i slammed on my brakes to reduce speed, and they have not pulled me over, but probably everyone is not so lucky.

I work on Clarendon Hills Road in Willowbrook. At many different times of the day there is a police car parked in the church parking lot running his radar. The church is located on Clarendon Hills Road just over the viaduct which takes you over the expressway and is South of 75th street.

Police sit in school parking lot at all hours. Cars approaching from south rise over hill and enter the village. The radar catches them just as they enter the village.
