Decatur, Indiana Speed Traps
Route 27 is the principal north-south corridor in Adams County, linking the city of Fort Wayne to Decatur and Berne. There are numerous speed limit changes, many of which are manned by deputies running radar. All tickets cost $169, plus a $10 “service charge” for using a credit card to pay online. I commute daily along this route and always use a radar detector. There are multiple traps daily.
They sit just inside the entrance to Fleetwood behind the swales and berms of the lawn. It’s 45 MPH coming down from 55 on the highway. They also sit in the Blue Flame parking lot across the road.
As you drive down County Line Rd, into the town of ST. Paul, the local town Marshall’s sit in the BP lot and radar.
