Interstate 65 near Exit Number 220
Across from the Exit 220 from the Southbound lane of I-65, a turnaround for state vehicles is cut into the trees, blocking all views, especially during the summer. A marked State Trooper sits facing either traffic direction and get a good view and reading on vehicles before it is possible to see the car. Lately the officer is standing close to the road with the radar gun. This is usually the place where all the Illinois people get up to 85+ MPH, so the officer usually does not have to wait very long to find a speeder, especially since they’re distracted due to the dairy farms and the exit.
