Fort Wayne, Indiana Speed Traps
Coldwater Road N over RT65
As you come off the bridge over 69 the speed limit changes from 45 and drops to 35 — 25 during school hours. The cop sits on the off-road to the right or the motorcycle in the median as you come off the bridge.
Scott Rd. between Illinois Rd. and Covington Rd
This two mile stretch is worked on a regular basis, along with the school zone in the 1500 block. City officers are located off the road along the trees, on the bike path, in the school lot, and at the subdivision entrances. The 25 mph school zone is enforced along with the regular 40 mph roadway.
On Stellhorn Rd East. of St. Joe Rd
Theres a cop who sometimes like to sit along the right hand side of Stellhorn Rd… he sits at the entrance of a small addition at night time not even a 1/4 mile up the road as you pass the Speed Way gas station heading East towards Maplecrest Rd… Be on the look out!
p.s If your traveling East towards Maplecrest Rd Ive also seen a cop sitting in the small church parking lot on the left hand side of Stellhorn Rd just before the Reed Rd crossing stop light… thats a real hit and miss spot though…
Rothman Road between Maplecrest Road and St. Joe Road
The speed limit is only 30 mph, easy pickings.
Fairfield Ave and Packard or Kinnaird Aves
Fort Wayne cops park here in empty store the lot. Have for years. They don’t clock though. I have a detector in each vehicle and it never buzzes. Fort Wayne cops don’t seem to have (or use?) radar. There are several places cops sit and do paperwork like Fairfield and GE.
