South Emerson before Southport Road

Indianapolis, IndianaJun 11, 20140 Comments

Heading South on Emerson Ave towards Southport Road. There is a rear entrance to a Target shopping center. A police officer likes to sit here and pull people over one after another. I have sat here eating lunch and counted over 6 people bringing pulled over in about 45min.

56th st near Indian Creek Elementary School

Indianapolis, IndianaMay 10, 20141 Comments

Going east on 56th street, school zone sign is posted before you get to church. You have the church, a house, and then the school. Police officer sits in the driveway of the house pulled back off the street. Got a ticket on Thursday, and before I pulled off, officer had repositioned himself and pulled out behind another driver. Why is this school zone sign posted so far back from the school?

N Meridian St between 86th and 96th (465 Entrance)

Indianapolis, IndianaMar 08, 20140 Comments

Speed limit is 45 on Meridian driving northbound, pass 86th it turns into a fat 50mph, for not even a quarter mile. Then you see yourself blasting 50 looking at the smallest speed limit sign saying 40, then you’re greeted by the 96th street blaster boys. They are TUCKED in those small streets behind huge buildings. Best keep 45 if you like to see the sunshine

I-65 North and South bound around mile marker 108.4

Indianapolis, IndianaJul 23, 20130 Comments

Just South of downtown Indianapolis, there is a long dip in the road of about 1/3 mile in length in which there is a blind spot, and once you come over the rise in the road at either end, the police cars and motorcycles can easily get you on radar. This is just North of Keystone Avenue exit and South of the Raymond St exit. The officers will locate in the middle break down lanes.

I-465 on the East side, between mile markers 43.8 and 44.6

Indianapolis, IndianaJul 23, 20130 Comments

There are multiple overpasses in this area where I-70 and I-465 intersect. Motorcycle officers will locate under the overpasses in the middle break down lane with radar guns in both the North and South bound lanes. In some cases, there have been as many as 3 to 5 officers. You cannot see them until you are already upon them. They are most often in the South bound lanes in the mornings between 9am and Noon.
