25th Street & Moller Road

Speedway cop likes to sit in the parking lot area next to the Speedway library and catch drivers as they go through there. The speed limit is only 25 miles and catches a lot of people off-guard.

Corner of 82nd St. & Allisonville Rd.

Technically not a speed trap but a "right hand turn on red" trap. If you’re heading west on 82nd and turn north on Allisonville, be careful. There is a sign with the hrs when it’s legal to turn on red. Most of the time, it’s illegal. Officers sit in the Perkins restaurant lot and wait for people to make the turn. I was taking a casting lesson at the flyfishing shop across the road and saw at least 10 people pulled over in 45 minutes, 2 cops were working that stretch. The shop owner said it happens all the time. That intersection sees more wrecks than any other in the state, so the laws probably make some sense.

east st north of 465

As soon as you get of 465 onto east st heading north right before you get the the stop light taking you into southern plaza a cop sits on the right hand side in an empty lot and the speed limit is only 40 so by the time you get off the highway or cross over it and and have to slow to 40 its to late and he will right a ticket for as little as 5 over the speed limit

I-465

45 MPH construction zone, not marked properly (no lights, workers or construction). Double fines if stopped. Was stopped there several weeks ago, contacted INDOT (no construction was in progress the day I was ticketed,no construction that entire week). It seems like you get extra points (if you’re out of state). I was behind the State Trooper and watched Indiana cars passing him in the fast lane. $435 ticket and 6 points. I’m not from Indiana, and I will fight the double fine and double points.

North and South lanes are monitored on the inside breakdown lanes hidden around curves. By the time you have a visual, it’s too late.
