Heading West of Liberty, shortly before the speed limit goes up, a trooper parks in drive on South side waiting for you as you go down the hill. No mercy.
State Highway 27 South near Leaving Liberty
Speed limit extended due to school crossing at Patriot Point apartments for an extra 1/2 mile. Officers are posted and contruction has begun on US 27 south of town.
State Highway 27 near Railroad Crossing
About 3 miles East of Liberty on U.S. 27 is a very small town called Cottage Grove. A Sherrif’s Deputy lives right in the burg. This is a major artery for people going to Miami U. in Oxford and to camp at Brookville. They are hard to see and don’t maintain a regular schedule.
State Highway 101
State & local sheriff waits in numerous places along IN 101 south of Liberty. The speed limit is only 45 on a stretch or rural road for 3 miles or so from Witewater State Park north to the Liberty town limit.
