Loogootee, Indiana Speed Traps

Where 231 turns north at the stop light. Cop sits in this short section all night long. Speed limit goes down to 25mph for a couple blocks.

An officer usually sits in a parking lot on the left side of US 231 clocking drivers traveling south into the town. The speed limit is 35 at this point. However the first 35mph sign is about 300 yards to the north so drivers have more than enough time to reduce their speed from 50 to 35. Many houses in this area and a dangerous intersection.
