Mitchell, Indiana Speed Traps

Teke Burton Dr. starting at Hoosier Hills Credit Union all the way until Hatfield School on the North Side. This area is patrolled heavily by local cops and is listed at 25 mph. I have seen numerous stops here and I myself was stopped here for going 40 in a 25. Very unrealistic posting of 25mph here.

Speed limted posted as 25MPH. Police stop at florist as well as use radar when driving. They often will give a warning since it’s easy to go over 25 mph. Best to use cruise control in this area.

This one is for truckers/commercial vehicles. Indiana State Police "Commercial Vehicle Enforcement" cars pull over trucks on SR37 where it is merged with SR60, especially on the bridge just north of Arby’s. This happens several times a month or more. They team up and usually have one in the Northbound lane and one in the Southbound lane. It’s not even uncommon to see them have the trucks hoods open inspecting.

Utilization of marked and unmarked cars . There is a 45 mph speed zone and one would think it is 55 mph. However the officer was friendly and only gave us a verbal warning. I have heard they do have alot of DUI patrols in this area at night.
