Wabash, Indiana Speed Traps
US 24 between Peru and Huntington
At night there are state troopers or sheriff deputies that park in the crossovers of the medians on US 24. They sit there with ALL their lights off, and use instant on radar to try to catch anyone going over the limit. Only my radar detector has saved me, and then because I get a signal from the cop as he radars someone ahead of me by a quarter mile or so.

There is a black, unmarked Dodge Charger that is often on highway 24 that I see almost every other time I travel on the road.
There is also and unmarked, silver Mustang that I have seen before too. Keep your eyes peeled for these!
US 24 between Peru and Wabash
On US 24 between Peru and Wabash there is usually an unmarked light blue Crown Victoria patrolling this portion of the highway. They stop anyone going 5 mph or faster. I travel this portion of US 24 3 times a day and have seen him every time and better that 75% of the time he has someone on the side of the road or is in pursuit. Occasionally it is a Mustang but not often.
US Highway highway new 24
There’s usually a cop car either sitting along 24 with a cop in it or a cop car sitting along the highway with no cop in it just right outside of Wabash about 2 miles, about where the State Police man got killed on duty
US 24
From the west side of Hunngton all the way to US 31. See all sorts of cops, mostly state troopers. There are a large number of unmarked cars along here. My husband was pulled over by an unmarked car with MICHIGAN plates. A number of us who travel this road have been pulled over by a silver camaro. Apparently, this youngster enjoys his job a little too much. I don’t know of a single person who hasn’t been pulled over at least once since the road turned into a 4-Lane rural Highway (55 MPH).
