Anamosa, Iowa Speed Traps

On Hwy 151 right at the Hwy 64/ Third Street exit (exit 54). They use concrete barriers on the north side of the bridge median to hide. Coming over the hill from the south, they can tag you as soon as you crest the hill, before you have a chance to see them. And, because the Anamosa Police have Grey Charger squad cars, in the morning and evening hours they blend into the concrete walls, and are hard to spot coming from the north.

Construction zone in two way two lane area on Hwy 151 has speed limit of 55 mph, then four lane area of 65 mph. Lots of problems with slow moving vehicles. Speed enforcement was very much appreciated. I really can’t consider this a speed trap, its proper enforcement for a problem area.
