Interstate 74 near Lincoln Road
Police use radar from an overpass bridge 1/2 way up the 1st I74 hill in Bettendorf (around Lincoln Rd) by ‘hiding’ behind the green road signs up on that bridge. They ‘clock’ speeding cars flying off of the I74(Mississippi River) bridge that are leaving IL and going up the hill into Bettendorf, IA. They then must ‘radio’ the car ID/Info to mobile police units who pull them over after the top of the hill. I have seen this trap set up on 4 different mornings this spring already and each time they have 5 or 6 squad cars on the top of the hill, each having a car pulled over and are writing a citation.
