An officer parks on the West side of the road in an empty parking lot (yellow house) directly at Boston Ave on 2nd Ave. (located a few blocks South of Douglas) at different times of the day but most commonly in the late evenings.
6th Avenue near South of Euclid Street
Police cars will sit in drive way of Bells Heating and Cooling, or the alley south of Gomez’ tire shop on Oak Park.
60th Street near Vista Drive
Officer known to sit in the church parking lot on the corner of 60th and Vista in West Des Moines. When coming from the south, a fence blocks your view of the area and he is there waiting as soon as you pass that point.
University Avenue near Glenndale Cemetary
A cop will sit in the parking lot of the cemetary and Radar people going down the hill above the posted limit of 30 mph
S.E. 5th Street near S.E. Pleasantview Drive
Basically any time of the day you can find a traffic officer setting at this intersection, on S.E. Pleasantview Dr. running radar due to several neighborhood complaints of speeders…..They are there all the time.
