East Kirkwood St. turning into Pleasant Plain Rd.

The police like to watch out for speeders around this area. The road has a long downhill stretch and the speed limit goes from 25 to 35 but if you don’t hold the brake, it is very easy to hit 40 even before the 35 zone. They hide in driveways and even out as far at Pleasant Lake parking area.

North B Street, 800 block

It is the favorite place of cops in Fairfield, if you drive North on B Street you are going downhill from the cemetery speed limit 25 and it goes up to 35 at the bottom of the hill. However you cannot keep the limit unless you are pushing the brake (which I really hate). Anyway they set up their speed trap at the bottom of the hill usually weeknights but sometimes weekend too, waiting for drivers who will not brake and by the time they hit the bottom of the hill they will roll about 45-50. That is when they will get you from the right side hide out driveway. Usually marked city police car, but by the time you see it it is too late.
