Johnson Co Sheriff sits in the high school parking lot amongst the kids cars at the far end of the lot (as you go west toward Lake MacBride or North Liberty) during the day and further back in the lot at night. Speed limit is 25 going west and drops from 55 to 40 to 25 coming east into town and it drops quickly. Town speed limit is pretty much all 25 MPH. They also sit in the rear of Sam’s grocery store parking lot on Main St or at N Iowa St and Main St. at night and watch the flashing red light. If you roll through it, you’re busted. You won’t see them until it’s too late so be careful. Also watch Casey’s on Hwy 1 right at the middle of town after dark.

A county Sheriff Usually sits at the repair garage amongst other cars. There is commonly a ‘how fast are you going’/radar sign. 5 mph is usually acceptable.

County Sheriff sits at the bank later in the evening. He’s usually sitting doing paper work, but more than 8-10mph over and you’re askin for it.
