North end of town, the 35 zone extends longer that you would expect, then goes to 45 before reaching highway speeds of 55 & 65.

Spencer Police sit in parking lots along Highway Boulevard portion of US Hwy 71 at N edge of Spencer at any number of businesses. Speed limit is 35 but could easily be 40 to 45. Police may be heard on a scanner regularly with a ‘traffic stop’ at this location day & night.
