West Branch, Iowa Speed Traps
The entire Town
This small town with The Hoover National Library & Park is one big speed trap anywhere in town. The speed limits change rapidly with minimal marking and generally dip to 20mph. They are also prone to stopping & ticketing anyone they notice not wearing a seatbelt. Look Out !!
County Trunk XR30 near McDonalds/Proctor&Gamble
He sits at the Proctor&Gamble truck lot across from the McDonald’s and gets people coming up the hill towards the freeway entrance. The limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 super fast and he pulls people over every day!

West Main Street near Pedersen Drive
3 man full time Police department sits everywhere in town and nails people for 10 over in a 20. Very low speed limits in this town. Also sets out a fully marked patrol car in town with a blow up doll in it, in a police uniform then they sit somewhere else to nail you. Better also where your seatbelt.
Interstate 80 near Exit Number 254
Overpass monitoring of traffic on I-80. Tickets frequently issued for speeds over 69 mph. Small town cops with little to do but issue traffic tickets. Constant out of state traffic means higher fines and resultant revenue for local community.
