Harper, Kansas Speed Traps

This is a spot where the speed limit changes from 40 to 65. I was stopped heading out of town for 51 in a 40 mph zone. I could see the 65 mph sign from where I was. I wasn’t really speeding so much as getting up to the next speed. I’ve heard from numerous people that he gets people there all the time.

The intersections of US 160, K14 and nearby where K-2 ends is always covered during the holidays when families are happy and traveling home ward. Why these people want to spoil the good times for families is beyond my comprehension. It is especially disheartening to see them there during the Holidays, and folks are trying to give gifts to those they love. I won’t eat at the cafes on the highway any longer because of this treatment to visitors to Harper.
