Hays, Kansas Speed Traps

coming into hays from the north drops to 40 and they like to sit out there

This is a school zone with no warning. The light at 12th starts the school zone and you have to immediately be slow. The cops wait on the side streets and run radar all the time. Cars slowing AFTER the light are ticketed regardless. There is also limited sight of the flashing light so you cannot see it before you are on it.

Unbelivable! I recently got ticketed driving thru Kansas on I-70 as I was crossing Ellis County. I unfortunately did not see it but avoid driving thru this town if you can. After following on my journey, I spotted troopers hidding about every 5 miles 2 or 3 car per trap looking on both directions East and West. Generally behind bushes right on the median. Very expensive tickets as well.

Unrealistic 70 MPH across some of the flatest and boring interstate driving in the US. They must support the city of Hays from this endevor. Very high priced tickets. I’ve received only two tickets driving from coast to coast in a car both on interstate 70 and both in Hays and each at different times, 11PM West bound and 10AM East bound. Thats just too much coincidence. Avoid driving thru Kansas if you can.
