Kansas City, Kansas Speed Traps

Up and down the street past the GM Plant Speed limit is 35 and before you get to the GM Plant the speed limit is 30. Beward about every couple of weeks the KCK cops like to hide beside the abanden buildings and zap you. Easy money for them because most of us who work downtown use this area to avoid the back up from the Broadway bridge, Paseo, and the Heart of America Bridge. Speeders beware!!!!!

75th Street between State and Parallel
Most residential streets off of Victory Drive or 38th St.

Minnesota is 20 mph regardless of every parallel street to it being 30 mph.

There are KCKPD sitting at 12th street every day at 4:30p.

This is a section of road that expands to a four lane double yellow lined road from a two lane road. The speed is only 35 mph on this road and is very hilly and easy to speed if you coast. Be sure to stop completely at stop signs and ride your break!

State Troopers will sit on small roadway between north and south bound lanes to take radar.North bound can’t see them because they are hidden by rock outcrop in median of highway.South bound can see them as they get closer to them sometimes too late.They take radar in both directions sometimes just to confuse us.they are located just after the Kaw River Bridge and at the Holliday Road exit in the median,hidden by the rock outcrop.
