Roe Avenue near 128th Street

Officers sit behind the entrances into neighborhood developments and gun people with radar. Road construction ended on the road in mid-April 2006 and they’ve been at or around the same intersection numerous times. Note to drivers: they sit on both sides of the street (east and west) so they change up their patterns of enforcement.

95th Street

This trap is between Mission road and Lee blvd. While taking 95th street either direction there is a church (approx at Belinder street) and the cruisers are always in the parking lot. Headed from either direction it’s hard to see them until the last minute. Coming from mission you are headed down a hill and gain speed quicker. I have lived here for about 27 years and notice them there almost religiously. They love the spot.

Police hide behind neighborhood sign at the entrance of Worthington.

I-435 Westbound in Leawood jurisdiction

Leawood, KansasJun 17, 20030 Comments

I’ve seen them set up here several times in the past few months. They’re no doubt using their new (expensive) Laser guns on the unsuspecting Missouri residents coming into the state to work because of their reflective front license plates (which are almost required for Laser to be effective), as I’ve never seen them on the Eastbound side of the highway.

Anywhere on State Line

Leawood, KansasNov 28, 20020 Comments

I have seen people pulled over at different hours of the day, as there are always officers driving up and down State Line. It is really bad late at night or early in the morning. No one else on the road, and the police will pull a u-turn behind you, and follow you. Best advise I can give you…do not speed here, or take a different route.
