Berea, Kentucky Speed Traps

There are almost always State Police between the Interstate medians as you come over a hill on I-75 between exit 77 Berea and the City of Richmond. Watch your speed as you go over the hills – they are on the other side with radar guns.

The whole road is enforced, but once you get to about fentress lane (city limits) then you can fly.

Just as you come into Berea heading North from Rockcastle Co. Berea police sit on the left, behind a building just as the speed limit changes from 45 to 35, sometimes 5 over is safe, but more will get you a ticket.

There are many speed traps on this road. One will be just as you turn onto Dogwood from Lee’s Famous recipe a police officer may be sitting on the right or left of the road, they are very hidden if you’re coming from the other direction. Another is just as you pass Dogwood Heights on the left or right in any drive way until you reach the bottom of the hill. From there you are safe, it’s out of City limits.
