Between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. there is a Calvert City police officer who works every inch of his 7/10 of a mile of Interstate 24 within the city limits. He will sit on the shoulder of the west bound lane and issues citations starting at 5 miles per hour over the posted speed limit of 65. Also, make sure you have a current proof of insurance card in your car or your vehicle will be towed and you may very well get to spend the night at the Marshall County Jail.
