Grayson, Kentucky Speed Traps

Entire length of Carol Malone. They will check your speed as your coming into town and ticket you as though you were in town. Got a ticket for that coming into town from the lake once. I know they checked me before I was in city limits and not after. I had a detector running at the time. You must watch Grayson closely due to the city limits not marked properly. You will be in town in places a mile or more before you see any signs. The police don’t care about anything but the revenue. On another note Grayson has the highest DUI arrest rate in the state plus the officer that arrests the most DUI’s over a years time. This guy has gotten the award for several years running. They get awards yearly for this stuff. Funny coming from a dry city/county with only 3500 people in town. Seems they might arrest you whether your drinking or not.

You really have to watch this one… 64W just west of Grayson KY, the road is relatively straight until a large "bend" appears to come out of nowhere. Generally at the end of this bend are two cop cars (one pointed West/ one East). What makes this trap even trickier is that they do use K band instant-on radar — they do not run the radar at all times. Watch yourselves.
