Heading West, Nearing the end of Scherm Road approaching Barron Road. Police Officers position themselves behind a hedge on a street to the leFort Traffic ticketing is constant as Scherm is 30mph and most drivers would consider this 35mph. Tickets are handed out almost daily it seems.
Carter Road near Barron Drive
Patrol Officers will often sit on a side street just north of Barron Drive. It’s now a smooth 4 lanes and goes up to 45 just a block south of where they sit. It’s very hard to locate them until it’s too late.
US-60 Bypass near Carter Road
Up to 3 patrol cars will sit in a U-Turn lane just southeast of Carter Road. They usually sit there at night when you can’t see them, especially if you’re traveling from Parrish to Frederica. The Carter overpass blocks them.
60 Bypass near State Highway 231
State Troopers (3 or 4 of them). Guy with portable radar/radio stands behind the sign on 231 overpass, so he is hidden from view. Assisting officers sit on exit ramp to nail speeders radioed in from the guy on the overpass.
4th Street near Crabtree Street
Entering town from west on US60 speed drops from 50mph to 35mph, police sit in location before overpass & intersection of Crabtree. They locate themselves where not visible to oncoming traffic & have 2 men in the vehicles.
