Prestonsburg, Kentucky Speed Traps

The speedtraps are clearly marked: "CONSTRUCTION ZONE" This area runs from Prestonsburg to Allen. DOT’s are very active and will write you at any speed over 45mph. I travel this road everyday to work, they do have Radar Boxes set up to verify your speed on both ends of the zone. These boxes are great tools to test your K-band capabilities of your radar detectors. Beware of the never ending DOT patrols here. They also are transmitting K-band.
