Russell, Kentucky Speed Traps

As you enter the city of russell coming off the state bridge from ironton, ohio, the russell police are sitting at bp gas station or the side street next to it(etna st.). you are coming off the bridge at 35 to 45 mph and will not see a speed limit sign till you come around the corner where it says 20 or 25mph. but it’s too late because you are already clocked coming off the bridge. you won’t see police car until last curve coming off bridge or 1st curve around buildings coming into city. they set there most afternoons, all evenings, and late at night.

They set back in a little area off of the Kenwood Dr. (a/k/a Rt. 750) and watch traffic going up & down the hill on US 23 there.

They set in various places around the foot of the bridge. Mostly at late night hours. Waiting on drivers coming from Ironton, OH!

evening shift is the worst. speed limit goes for 55 to 45 to 35 in a very short distance.
