City Police use Unmarked and marked and usually target Big Trucks more than autos.

US Highway 27

Somerset, KentuckyMay 23, 20100 Comments

27 is usually swarmed with cops, marked and unmarked (several Chevy Tahoes, Dodge Chargers, Chevy Impalas, plain cars with highly tinted windows) cars..especially on the weekends and even worse on the 3rd Friday and Saturday of each month because we have pretty much a huge car show during these dates and people all over the country come. Also be careful if you are here during a car show time because wrecks are also very bad.

State Highway 27

Somerset, KentuckyMay 18, 20090 Comments

City Police officers, and State, And DMV officers work the medians at nights, hide behind bridges during the day on the NEW highway 27 from science hill to somerset. limit is 55, and that is too slow. beware when approaching somerset, as speed goes from 55 to 45 with very little warning. its a bad spot.

State Highway 80

as you top the hill entering somerset west bound on hwy 80, there will be a city cop setting at the bottom of the hill in the 45mph zone. the speed changes at the top of the hill from 55 to 45 so most ppl are running about 65 or so when they top the hill.

Intersection of 914 and 769 bisects the two cities of Somerset and Ferguson, KY. The speed limits drops just as you enter Ferguson from 55mph to 35mph and is not well marked. Ticketing is frequent from the Ferguson police dept.
