Bossier City, Louisiana Speed Traps
Airline Drive near Barksdale Boulevard
Motorcyle cops have a set up at the red light. One cop will hide on Airline Dr. and radar people running the red light. Usually 2-3 others are on the adjacent street (Barksdale Blvd) ready to pull people over.
State Route LA1503 near From I-220 to the town of Benton
Sherrif’s cars are parked in the median after the last light going north and right before the Cash Point turn off by the big water tower, They are there most of the day and the evenings.
US Highway I-20 near Industrial Drive
Both State Troopers and BC Police love to hide in the bushes in the median of the highway, within 100 yards of the 70 to 60 mph change. This change occurs well over 2 miles from any city congestion or need. I have seen them using radar both east and west, especially east, where a bridge blocks your view until you are right on them. There are no exits after this bridge for 2 to 2.5 miles, but the speed limit does not increase until you go another mile east on I-20 towards Louisiana Downs racetrack.
US Highway 80 near Interstate 20
A cop is on a dirt road on the right of the highway. You get the impression he’s waiting to turn onto the road. But if you’re going over the posted 45MPH limit you will be pulled over.
