Motorcyle cops have a set up at the red light. One cop will hide on Airline Dr. and radar people running the red light. Usually 2-3 others are on the adjacent street (Barksdale Blvd) ready to pull people over.

US Highway I-20 near Industrial Drive

Both State Troopers and BC Police love to hide in the bushes in the median of the highway, within 100 yards of the 70 to 60 mph change. This change occurs well over 2 miles from any city congestion or need. I have seen them using radar both east and west, especially east, where a bridge blocks your view until you are right on them. There are no exits after this bridge for 2 to 2.5 miles, but the speed limit does not increase until you go another mile east on I-20 towards Louisiana Downs racetrack.

A cop is on a dirt road on the right of the highway. You get the impression he’s waiting to turn onto the road. But if you’re going over the posted 45MPH limit you will be pulled over.
