I-10 eastbound coming of Atchafalaya Bridge at Ramah

Breaux Bridge, LouisianaMar 09, 20160 Comments

Just at the base of the bridge sits a deputy, but a bit beyond that is unmarked car with trunk open to distract. And the speed limit changes from 60 to 70 as soon as you reach the bottom of the bridge. Deputy apparently shoots the device, never saw it nor did he offer, up the slope.
Was told that if I paid the ticket there would be nothing on my record.
My cruise control was set at 64. Traffic was all moving at same pace and faster.

There is nothing in Ramah even if one needs to make a pit stop.

Also, there are more mentions of this very trap on this site not collected in same spot due to the fact most don’t even know the mile marker or name of little burg thus differ in descriptors.

Poydras Street at Crescent Street

Breaux Bridge, LouisianaMay 25, 20110 Comments

Poydras Hwy heading North into Breaux Breaux just past Thibodeaux Rd. The speed limit is reduced from 55MPH to 40MPH, then about 100 yards after the speed drops to 25MPH. This is where the Police are.

At both ends of Basin Bridge

State and local radar enforcement of Basin Bridge speed limit (60 mpg) — cop cars waiting at ends of bridge and nail cars just as they are exiting to higher speed limit.

Interstate 10

Heavy enforcement with multiple vehicles. I have counted as many as 8 State, Local, and Sheriff combined. Mostly checking Eastbound at every overpass, and exit from Breaux Bridge to Basin Bridge (approximately 6 miles).
