Cameron, Louisiana Speed Traps

this is about 0.2 – 0.3 miles away from the ferry to cross the water body to go to holly beach.
The speed limit there is 45 and then changes to 35 in 0.1 miles and then changes to 25 in another 0.1 miles and then changes back to 35 in 0.1 miles and then back to 45 in another 0.1 miles.
There is usually a cop waiting in the 25 zone.
With speed limits changing like that in just 0.1 miles, its surely a speed trap! beware!
US Highway 82 near Ferry/Coast Road
After the Hwy 27 Cutoff to Sulfer headed West, use great care heading West along the freshly paved black top coming into the first little village on 82 (what’s left after Rita) Especially early evening and into the AM Hrs. Local sheriff sits in the dip in the weeds and is quit effective in finding speeders. They will be happy to relieve you of $165 for 15 mph over… on a road that has very very little traffic that is headed to Pt. Arthur.
