Just north of exit 191 on I-49 there are 1-2 state troopers sitting on a hill between some trees watching both directions of the interstate. They are there just about every day/night.

There are two here. One just north of exit 172 on I-49 which is a state trooper on the median and just south of the exit which is usually two Desoto Parish Sheriff’s deputies. They are here regularly day and night.
East of Logansport on Hwy 84
The speed limit in Texas on HWY 84 is 70 MPH. If you forget to reset your cruise control after entering LA, the State Police are not at all understanding. Will write ticket each time.
