Main part of town sits along US Hwy 167 which runs through the middle of town in a north-south direction. Dodson is a "sleepy little town" population about 300-400. Posted highway (2 lane)speed is 55 mph, about 1/2 mile past city limit sign, speed limit drops to 45 for approximately another 1/2 mile, just before the intersection with LA Highway 126 when the speed limit drops again to 35, then gradually increases from 45 back to 55 as you leave town either direction. Town has two police cars (Crown Victorias), one white, one gray, they usually site on either end of town at city limit signs. Sometimes one sits in someone’s driveway near the middle of town (where the speed limit changes from 45 to 35). So if you don’t get caught going into Dodson, you might get caught on your way out.
