Gretna, Louisiana Speed Traps

I was on Lafayette street last night on my way to Ochsner Hospital and there was a Ford Escape parked on the left side of the road. This escape didn’t have the yellow lights on top. The lights were white similar to the lights deer hunters use. On my way back to the east bank I pulled up next to it and was able to see the camera at the rear of the vehicle where the license plate is. Beware… I got a ticket in the mail 1 year ago after passing s similar vehicle on Westbank Expresswsy.

The City of Gretna, LA is using restrictive speed limits and mobile speed traps (white Ford Escapes parked along the right side of major traffic routes) throughout the city to remedy a budget shortfall instead of acting in a fiscally responsible manner.
