Gretna Boulevard northward from Belle Chasse Hwy. to Manhattan Boulevard. Mobile speed camera is deployed in a dark field at night to catch unsuspecting speeders. The speed limit is 20 M.P.H. all the time, not only during school hours, school hours the speed limit is 15 m.p.h. The first flash takes a picture of the driver and front of car, as you drive past the mobile unit, the second flash takes the license plate number.

The City of Gretna commandeered Timberlane including the section of Lapalco blvd that passes through Timberlane. Gretna puts a speed camera out there sometimes and a Gretna police will park in a turning lane or hide by an entrance gate into Timberlane. Speed limit is 35mph.
Groups of people are starting to boycott Gretna businesses due to their speed traps and money grabs. Write or call a business in (incorporated) Gretna and let them know why you will not be going there. This will send them a message and no tax dollars. Spread the word.
