Harahan is known for strict enforcement. 30 mph limit!
River Road near Hickory Avenue
The speed trap is located on River Road headed up-river just past the intersection with Hickory Ave. The speed limit is 20 and his highly enforced as you depart the industrial area headed into a residential area.

Speed suddenly drops from 35 to 20 in the trap area, and then resumes 35. No reason for the speed reduction other than the speed trap.

Harahan Police drive on the levee with radar and shoot from behind. Speed limit along River Road varies from 45 in some spots down to 20 in Harahan. Ridiculously slow. If you are ANYWHERE in this town, watch out!
