Kenner, Louisiana Speed Traps
Williams Boulevard
Kenner Cops – To collect and serve.
Beware of running yellow lights. Cops set up in business parking lots for radar and yellow light runners. Locals get a pass, out of towners get nailed. The fine is $145.00 and rude treatment from the cops and Clerk of Court.
MAJOR REVENUE GENERATOR FOR THE CITY OF KENNER
Interstate 10 West near Beginning of Bonnet Carey Speedway
Instead of sitting on the grass before you reach the spillway leaving New Orleans toward LaPlace, the state trooper was sitting in the slight curve at the beginning of the spillway. I was ticketed doing 82mph in a 60mph range. You have to go all the way to Hahnville(which is across the river from Destrahan) to contest your ticket. The little town is trying to make money, so watch out. Make sure your seat belt is on "properly" too!
State Highway Jefferson near Fence next to Mark Twain II Apts.
LA State trooper shooting radar on every third & fourth car on Jefferson Highway across from John curtis School.
No one gets out of this one…
Go 18 in the 20….
Vintage Dr., Between Loyola Dr. and Williams Blvd.
The speed limit in this area is 25 mph. No one goes 25 of course, so the cops just sit on the sides of the road and catch you. They sometimes sit up in parking lots, or will hide behind cars. I received a ticket for 36 in a 25, and the cop was hiding behind a parked car.
I-55 about 10 miles north of Kenner and New Orleans airport
3 or 4 police cars pulled to the side as if for an accident. One trooper slows the advancing cars down, a second one points at the car he wants to pull over out of the group (doesnt matter that they are all going the same speed) Out of state or rental cars are more likely to be singled out (because they won’t fly back to fight it)
