Laplace, Louisiana Speed Traps
Just West of Laplace on I-10
Just west of Laplace the State Police has been using aerial surveillance (airplanes) while State Police usually around the DOT Weigh Station pulls speeders over for tickets. It has to be on clear days.
Interstate 10 West Right before first Laplace Exit
State Police and St. John Parish love to sit just to the right of the bridge exit right before the first Laplace exit. It’s impossible to see them at night becasue there’s no lights and the car’s hidden from reflectors. Just slow down when coming off the I-10 bridge and then speed up after passing the exit.
actually a speed/dwi trap
West bound on I-10, the first LaPlace exit. Once you exit and take a right onto Hwy 51, right at the Circle K/ Waffle House there sits a whole team of officers with orange cones and a truck for alcohol testing. You don’t see it until you have already turned and if you try to go thru the light and get back on 10 they will stop you. So be careful and DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!
I-10 East Mile Marker 212
LA State Police Just past Laplace, LA marker 212 just past the curve. They sit there all times of the day. By the time you see them, they got you.

Its becomes Saint Charles Parish and the hwy curves to the right and the State troopers sit just past the curve. Trunk up and usually standing on the side of the road with hand held radar.
