Hwy 190 near I-12 on ramps just before overpasses

Mandeville, LouisianaOct 25, 20160 Comments

If you’re driving from Mandeville to Covington on Hwy 190, you might encounter a State Trooper shooting radar where the speed limit drops from 55 MPH to 45 MPH, people usually go 70 here so if you aren’t ready for it, they could hit you with a big speeding ticket. Got stopped right after another guy got his ticket. Wouldn’t doubt if the State Trooper got another one right after I left.

Greenleaves Blvd.

St Tammany Parish Sheriff has AM and PM detail work for the GMA. They ticket the home owners as they go to and from work. The home owners in the Greenleave subdivition pay for the security/detail St Tammy Parish at the tune of $57,000.00 per year on to of the high property tax and alll the ticket they write. We are getting robbed! Where is the security in that?

Florida Street & Wilkinson Ave School Zone

Mandeville, LouisianaMay 22, 20100 Comments

Police wait in the middle turn lane & in the shopping center with radar guns. Usually only in the mornings when the 25 mph school zone is in effect. Cars speeding along, not paying attention to the non-lit school zone signs from the east are especially vunerable. Saw 5 cars pulled over within 15 minutes.

N. Causeway Blvd. bridge at Hwy. 22

Mandeville, LouisianaMay 10, 20100 Comments

This bridge is the overpass at Hwy. 22, it’s a hill. A state trooper stands just on the other side of the hill in the middle with a radar gun.

St. Ann Drive and Elmwood Place (N. Causeway Service Road)

Mandeville, LouisianaApr 19, 20100 Comments

Police hide in parking lots and driveways to monitor this stretch of road. The posted speed limit is 25mph, which feels like a crawl on this road, so it’s very easy to not notice that you’re over the speed limit. Watch the sides of the road like a hawk when your drive on it!
